Grealish has enjoyed a good season in the Championship with Steve Bruce’s side only realistic route back to the top flight is via the play-offs.

The Daily Mirror report Leicester have been closely monitoring the midfielder all season and have been impressed with his displays.

Grealish has three goals and five assists this term for Villa after only getting back in their starting line-up in December after a freak kidney injury in pre-season.

Foxes boss Claude Puel, has earmarked the England–Under 21 star as a No.10 to operate behind striker Jamie Vardy.

He could also be handed a pay rise on his £20,000-a-week contract which runs until 2020.

But if fourth-placed Villa fall short, the club are set to cut costs and Grealish will be their biggest saleable asset.

Bruce takes his side to Ipswich on Saturday followed by a home game against Derby who are fighting with Millwall for the final play-off place.
