Leicester groundstaff cut poppy emblem into pitch for Remembrance Day ahead of fixture against West Brom

LEICESTER have marked Remembrance Day by weaving poppies into the pitch.

West Brom are the visitors to the King Power Stadium as the Premier League champions try to kick-start their domestic season.

Fifa has announced England and Scotland will not be allowed to wear a poppy when they face each other on November 11.

While most Premier League clubs wore special one-off shirts with the symbolic flower sewn into the kit.

But the Leicester groundstaff have ensured there won’t be an issue when the two Midlands rivals face off.

This match last season finished in a 2-2 draw which threatened to derail the Foxes’ sensational title bid.

However, Claudio Ranieri’s men bounced back to get the job done.

They will be without Kasper Schmeichel, who faces a spell on the sidelines after breaking his hand.

Leicester have struggled this season and currently sit in 12^th place.

They will be hoping to beat 17^th-place West Brom and get their season going.
