LEICESTER are interested in bringing in Basel winger Mohamed Elyounoussi, according to his former assistant manager.
The Foxes are looking at replacements for Riyad Mahrez if the Algerian finally gets his move away from the King Power Stadium.
And now Ian Burchall, who coached the Moroccan-born Norwegian at Sarpsborg, confirmed the former Premier League champions are keeping tabs on the midfielder.
Burchall told the Nordic Football Podcast.: “When I was finishing my Uefa Pro Licence, I did a little study trip and spent five days in Leicester.
“He was on their radar a while back. Publicly, as well. I think it was public knowledge that they were tracking him a little bit.
“They asked me about him and I said I really believed that he could play at that level.
