LIBRISA BREEZE landed some hefty bets after claiming a fast-finishing victory in the International Stakes at Ascot.
Dean Ivory’s grey was an obvious contender for the lucrative seven-furlong prize having filled the runner-up spot in last month’s Royal Hunt Cup and was a heavily-supported 4-1 favourite.
Robert Winston was in no hurry aboard the market leader, settling him nearer last than first in a group that raced down the middle of the track.

Squats was the first of those racing towards the stands’ rail to commit for home and took a couple of lengths out of the field under amateur Georgia Cox, but Librisa Breeze soon arrived on the scene and galloped on to score by a length and a half.
Squats clung on to second, with Scottish Glen faring best of those that raced on the far side in third.
Winston said: “The horse has had a lot of problems in the past but he’s a very good horse.
“He’s got speed for seven (furlongs).”
Ivory is considering a potential step up in class at Doncaster’s St Leger meeting in September for Librisa Breeze.
“I was very concerned about the ground and we had to take a chance,” said the trainer.
“Robert waited and waited and cruised through. He won very convincingly.
“I’ve got him in a Group race coming up in September (Park Stakes, Doncaster), but I’ll sit tight and have a chat with his owners.
“He loves it here. He’s such an honest and genuine horse.”
