Light heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier to face Anthony Johnson in epic UFC 206 title rematch
REIGNING light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will defend his title when he faces Anthony Johnson for the second time at UFC 206.
Cormier defeated his rival in May last year at UFC 187 when he eventually submit Johnson with a rear naked choke in the third round to win the vacant title.
The 37-year-old has since defeated the likes of Alexander Gustafsson and was expected to have a rematch with Jon Jones at UFC 200 but the fight was called off after Jones failed a drugs test.
Instead Cormier faced UFC veteran Anderson Silva and defeated him in a three round non title fight.
The rematch with Johnson will take place on December 10 in Toronto.
And Johnson will head into the bout full of confidence with a hat-trick of victories against Jimi Manuwa, Ryan Bader and Glover Teixeira.
