Live PIG smuggled into crowd during Palmeiras clash with Atletico GO in Brazil
PALMEIRAS beat Atletico Goias to keep their Brazilian title hopes alive this weekend.
But it was their fans who hogged the limelight as they smuggled a PIG into the stadium.
The defending Serie A champions axed manager Cuca last week after slipping 14 points behind leaders Corinthians.
But Palmeiras, under interim coach Alberto Valentim, won 3-1 away at the Estadio Olimpico Pedro Ludovico on Sunday thanks to goals from Willian, Moises and Dudu.
And celebrating Verdao supporters were pictured proudly holding their porcine pal aloft in the stands.
Palmerias are also known affectionately by fans as ‘O Porco’, meaning the pig.
