SADIO MANE reportedly agreed to sign for Real Madrid before Zinedine Zidane’s shock resignation, leaving his move in jeopardy.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a stunning season with Liverpool as he banged in 20 goals in all competitions, as well as netting against Los Blancos in the Champions League final.
According to France Football, the Reds winger was due to become the La Liga club’s first signing of the summer.
They claim that an agreement had been reached with Mane‘s representatives for the player to move to Spain, with Real only needing to sort out a fee with Liverpool.
But now that Zidane has left his post as Madrid boss, the potential deal looks to have been scuppered.
The deal will now only materialise should the Frenchman’s successor agree for the move to go ahead.
Although the report doesn’t mention a transfer fee, it is believed that Jurgen Klopp will demand at least £100million in order to prise the Senegal international away from Anfield.
Along with Mane, France Football claim that Real’s other targets include David De Gea, Harry Kane and Eden Hazard.

Mane could be a direct replacement for Welsh wizard Gareth Bale, who hinted he would be open to a move away.
Manchester United are believed to be keen on landing the former Tottenham ace, but the 28-year-old is waiting to see who will succeed Zidane before he decides on his future.
