While the Gunners have been chasing the French international all summer, with Lemar believed to have told the club he wants to move to North London.
But his admission failed to stop the Reds from entering the chase to bring him to Anfield – hoping to humiliate the FA Cup champions twice in two days.
They destroyed Arsenal on Sunday afternoon as they cruised to a 4-0 win, and then looked to nab their main transfer target this summer.
But according to RMC Sport, neither side will be acquiring the services of Lemar.
