JURGEN KLOPP lost the plot with fourth official Neil Swarbrick — but the two ended all smiles at the end.
The Liverpool boss screamed, “No one can beat us” in Swarbrick’s face, after Simon Mignolet denied Diego Costa a late penalty winner.
It came after Joel Matip had tripped the Chelsea striker.
Incredibly Klopp claimed he had no real problem with ref Mark Clattenburg’s spot-kick decision.
Yet he did admit his reaction was over the top and immediately apologised. Klopp revealed: “I said to him, ‘No one can beat us’, that’s what I said.
“Obviously that’s not true — but it felt for us like this in that moment.
“I was absolutely the wrong person to say it and I said, ‘Sorry, I was a bit excited’. He said, ‘No problem, I like your passion’.”
Klopp’s apology and Swarbrick’s swift willingness to accept it, defused the situation.
