Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius prepares for Swansea showdown at Liberty Stadium with same match on FIFA 17

LORIS KARIUS is preparing to face Swansea in unorthodox fashion – by playing against them on the newly released FIFA 17.

The Liverpool stopper, 23, has made two appearances for the Reds since his summer switch from Mainz and was between the sticks for the 5-1 demolition of Hull.

Like many across the country today, he was desperate to get home from training to fire up the console and get playing.

And to celebrate the release of the blockbuster series, Karius backed his virtual self by playing in goal against the Swans – and will be hoping Jurgen Klopp feels the same in reality on Saturday.

The German kept a clean sheet in his first start for the club at the 3-0 win over Derby in the EFL Cup and he followed it up with the win over Hull.

Liverpool face Swansea on Saturday lunchtime at the Liberty Stadium as they look to continue their impressive start to the season.

The Reds are firing on the attacking front and have scored their most goals after eight games in over 125 years.
