LIVERPOOL have reportedly made an opening bid of £52.5million for Nabil Fekir.
But, according to Le Parisien, Lyon are unlikely to accept as it falls short of their valuation.
Reds have already signed Fabinho in a £44m deal from Monaco as they look to get their business done early in the summer.
But Lyon are said to be in no hurry to sell Fekir, who is named in Didier Deschamps’ 23-man France squad for the World Cup.
The 24-year-old attacker faces competition from the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann, Thomas Lemar and Olivier Giroud to start for Les Bleus at Russia 2018.
However, Lyon reckon Fekir’s value could skyrocket during the competition and draw more major clubs into the bidding mix.

Lyon, who finished third in Ligue 1, are on a solid financial footing after securing Champions League action next season.
Contrary to claims in France, the Mirror report that Liverpool have not made a bid, but that Fekir has told Lyon he wants the move.

They add that Reds sporting director Michael Edwards will seek talks with Lyon next week in the hope that the beaten Champions League finalists can wrap up a deal.
If they can clinch Fekir’s signing then it would most likely take Reds’ summer additions past the £150m mark, with RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita joining for £52.75m.
