TWITTER users have been having their say on Liverpool’s controversial penalty against Southampton.

The Reds had the opportunity to go 1-0 up at Anfield following an apparent handball from Jack Stephens even though it looked to have come off his shoulder.

But James Milner missed his spot-kick and Liverpool are now sweating over their place in next season’s Champions League.



However, the incident has divided football fans, with some claiming that Liverpool were lucky to win the penalty.

Others insist Stephens made a bad error and it was fully deserved, and the battle will surely rage on throughout the afternoon.
