And now EA Sports have seen fit to upgrade the 25-year-old’s stats to the front of the grid of super speedsters.

Salah – with 99 pace – has overtaken Cristiano Ronaldo and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – both 98 – as the fastest of the bunch on the popular footy simulator.

Liverpool winger Salah has been in scintillating form this term and is now front-runner to win the PFA Player of the Year award ahead of Kevin de Bruyne of Manchester City.

He is now rated 99 on pace, 93 on shooting, 91 on passing, 96 in dribbling, 84 on physicality and just 60 defending.

Salah also won the Premier League player of the month and PFA Player of the Month awards for March.

He was instrumental as the Reds fired five past Manchester City over two legs to reach the Champions League semi-finals, where he will face former club Roma.

The challenge will be a huge one for Jurgen Klopp’s side in a stage of the competition they have not reached for 10 years, when they lost out to Chelsea over two legs.

Liverpool remain the English team with the proudest tradition of winning the competition, with five European Cups to their name, while rivals Manchester United have three.
