PEP GUARDIOLA has stepped up his attempt to land Riyad Mahrez in a £60million deal.
Manchester City held more talks with Leicester on Friday in a bid to land Guardiola’s top summer target.
The Algeria winger is the player the City boss wants to freshen his attack after almost landing him in January.
City walked away from the deal over the Foxes’ £95m asking price and the 27-year-old then sulked after the move broke down.
But City have gone back in for Mahrez and want to seal his signature, along with that of Napoli midfielder Jorginho.
Meanwhile, Joe Hart’s massive wages at Manchester City have left him in transfer limbo.
