Man City set to miss out on PSG starlet Yacine Adli who prefers Barcelona or Bayern Munich

MANCHESTER CITY are set to be snubbed by promising Paris Saint-Germain teenager Yacine Adli, who prefers a switch to Barcelona or Bayern Munich.

L’Equipre claim the 17-year-old attacking midfielder is reluctant to sign a new deal in the French capital and will reject interest from the Premier League.

PSG top brass have been desperately trying to convince Adli his long-term future is with the big spending French giants.

But the young goal scoring midfielder has prioritised his progression and football development over money at this stage of his career.

Adli has seen City and PSG spend huge amounts of money on top talent from around the world and feels his chances of making the first-team will be limited.

City lost England Under-17 World Cup winner Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund last summer, with the winger making his first-team bow last month.

Adli has starred for the French in the Uefa Youth League this season and would only cost a nominal compensation fee of around £250,000 at the end of his contract.

Barca are keen to beef up their pool of young players coming through the system, despite being prepared to spend big on first-team stars.

Bayern Munich boast a reputation for allowing young player to develop with a proven track record of promoting kids through the system if they are good enough.

If the Spanish giants can pull of this move, it could be seen as a shot back at PSG who bagged Neymar for a world record fee last summer.
