Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini says betting charge for defender Martin Demichelis is not serious


Manuel Pellegrini says he believes the FA misconduct charge against Martin Demichelis is not serious.

The City centre-back is facing a fine or ban for alleged betting offences.

He is accused of 12 breaches concerning matches between January 22-28th this year.

Demichelis has until 5pm next Tuesday to answer the charge and Pellegrini said he has no problems about picking the player for Saturday’s’s game at Bournemouth.

Pellegrini said: “I spoke with Martin, he told me what he did, we must see what the FA think about that.

“We must wait for next week. He’s part of the squad he’s always very committed with this project, so if he has made a mistake we will see how important it is, but I don’t think it’s that serious.”
