PEP Guardiola will ask his Manchester City squad to stop eating out with their wives after games next season – and to stop eating junk food in the dressing room.
The ex-Bayern Munich boss will insist on his City players eating together at the Etihad at least one hour after a match.
Guardiola installed the same strict rules at Bayern and Barcelona and brought in his own nutrition expert to check on the player’s diet.
A City source revealed: “He will want the squad to eat at the Etihad after games.
“He thinks it is vital for them to eat within one hour of games and even if it means telling the WAGS no dinner out tonight.
“That won’t go down too well with some of them. They usually eat pizza in the dressing room.”
City fly out to Germany then China and he wants to make sure they are in top shape ahead of their first match against old club Bayern on July 20.
Guardiola faces his first competitive match against Sunderland on the opening day of the new Premier League season, August 13.
Last week, we told how he has been reading up on the history of his new club and is a huge fan of Brit pop group Coldplay.
He has been watching and reading about City’s long history to know the full ins-and-outs of the Manchester club.
