Manchester City news: Ilkay Gundogan films himself singing Alicia Keys song on way to training in very high-pitched voice

ILKAY GUNDOGAN has been in sparkling form for Manchester City recently, scoring four goals in his last five games – so no wonder he is in a good mood.

The playmaker was driving on his way to training with the German national side ahead of their World Cup qualifier against San Marino and friendly against Italy when he decided to sing some Alicia Keys.

While he was having a good time with a pal who clearly has a passion for camouflage - and he actually didn't sing badly - his particularly high voice was very noticeable.

The Keys song of choice was her new single "Blended Family (What You Do For Love) (Audio) ft. A$AP Rocky" - which I am assured is very popular.

When Keys sung, Gundogan and friend repeated before launching into the song - but did make a tongue in cheeky allusion to his singing abilities with his Instagram caption.

He wrote: "Guess I'm better with boots than with beats But still a great song by @aliciakeys!#afterfamilytime #onmywaytotheteam."

Gundogan, 26, has hit the ground running for Manchester City since his £21million summer move from Borussia Dortmund after a sluggish start at the Etihad.

A brace against West Brom and an even more impressive pair against Barcelona showed Gungodan’s undoubted talent.

He said recently that his boss Pep Guardiola suits him better than his former manager at Dortmund Jurgen Klopp, despite the two clubs being neck and neck at the top of the Premier League.

And Gundogan may yet be the under-the-radar player to take Pep’s side to a title-challenge - just as long as he doesn't sing.

Here is the original song, in case you wanted to compare...
