MANCHESTER CITY stars held their Christmas party last night – in a restaurant backed by Manchester United player Juan Mata.
Despite the fierce city rivalry, Pep Guardiola and his expensively-assembled cohort did not seem to mind when they left Tapeo and Wine in the centre of Manchester.

The Spanish eatery opened in May with Mata’s dad Juan Mata Snr a major shareholder – and at the grand opening, Mata was present along with teammates Matteo Darmian, Daley Blind, David De Gea and Ander Herrera.
And earlier this month, manager Natalia Esquerdo and chef Nacho Perez left, leaving it in Mata Snr’s sole hands.
So let’s hope he didn’t stuff anything into the canapes to jeopardise City’s title chances – and the players looked like they had a good night as they left around 1am last night.
Boss Guardiola wore a flat cap and looked a tad worse for wear – while the rest just looked cold as they stepped into the cold night.
Right-back Bacary Sagna had a stern look on his face, while injured-again skipper Vincent Kompany braved it in just a shirt.
Wingers Nolito and Leroy Sane, and defender Nicolas Otamendi looked like they wanted to be elsewhere while playmaker David Silva was engrossed in his phone.
Suspended striker Sergio Aguero looked fairly happy as his ban only lasts one more match, City’s Boxing Day clash at Hull.
City lie in third, seven points behind leaders Chelsea – and despite his dodgy defence, Guardiola will not spend in the January transfer window unless it is an emergency.
