Manchester City unveil new 2018-19 home kit… and they will wear it tonight against Brighton
MANCHESTER CITY have unveiled their new 2018-19 home kit… and they will wear it tonight against Brighton.
The Etihad giants have released the smart-looking Nike strip just three days after lifting the Premier League trophy.
The kit is said to draw inspiration from former classics, with one noticeable difference being the return of navy socks.
City first wore the darker shade in the 1936-37 season – when they went on to win the league.
The Eastlands giants also donned the navy socks in the crucial 1998-99 season, when they bounced straight back to the top-flight following relegation a year earlier.
Elsewhere there are two very noticeable new features – one of which being the introduction of a button around the collar.
The other is addition of dark blue stripes along the shoulders and upper arms.
City will sport sleeve sponsor Nexen Tire on the left arm and the Premier League champions badge on the other – starting tonight.
