MANCHESTER UNITED’s transfer plans have been dealt a blow as Sime Vrsaljko insists he is happy at Atletcio Madrid.
Vrsaljko has made 54 appearances for Atleti since joining the La Liga giants in 2016 from Sassuolo.
The 26-year-old full-back has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his defensive options.
But the Croatia international has revealed he has no plans to leave Spain after signing a new deal at the Wanda Metropolitano.
He said: “I’ve just extended my contract, won the Europe League, I am in Spain, so I’m happy.
“And in the fall when I had doubts, I made it clear that it was all fantastic in Madrid and Atletico, that the only problem was that I did not play, but today everything is in its place, and that’s all.”

United will look to replace Matteo Darmian who is close to a return to Italy with champions Juventus.
The Italian full-back who moved to Old Trafford from Torino in 2015 under former boss Louis Van Gaal.
