JOSE MOURINHO is prepared to pay £75million to prise Douglas Costa away from Juventus, according to reports in Italy.
The Manchester United boss has identified the Brazilian winger as a key target as he looks to add to the attacking wealth at his disposal.
Costa starred for the Old Lady on loan from Bayern Munich this season, with the Serie A champions having an option to sign him on a permanent deal for £35m.
But according to Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sport, the Red Devils are willing to offer over double that amount to land him.
The ex-Shakhtar Donetsk ace joined Bayern in 2015 for £26m, but failed to hold down a regular starting spot as he pushed for a move away from the Allianz Arena.
He flourished under Massimilaino Allegri in Turin, helping Juve to a domestic double in his maiden season in Italy.
In 47 games in all competitions, Costa found the back of the net on six occasions, as well as chalking up 14 assists.
And should Juventus fail to sign him on a permanent deal, United will be quick to add him to their ranks as they eye up a pacey right winger.
