Fred was signed by Shakhtar in 2013 for £12million from Internacional in Brazil, where he was a two-time Campeonato Gaucho champion.
Since then, the 24-year-old has been a regular, helping them claim two league titles, two domestic cups and three Super Cups, as well as playing in the Champions League.
