ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC could find himself in hot water with the Football Association over his involvement with a new betting company.
Manchester United star Ibra has postponed his appearance at the launch of BetHard amid concerns he could be in breach of FA rules.
The governing body have strict regulations and guidelines in place over involvement with betting companies.
Among those includes instructions not to promote or advertise betting activity that they are “prohibited from engaging in” – which would mean Premier League football for the Swede.
The FA are now ready to look into the 36-year-old’s potential involvement with the firm.
And that has led to BetHard cancelling his upcoming appearance, which was scheduled to be in Manchester on Monday.
Although they did state that a new date will be pencilled in.
The FA have tightened up their rules on betting in recent years to cover involvement with promoting gambling firms as well as football professionals placing bets on matches.
‘I EXPECTED BETTER’ Man United star makes stunning admission over poor form
Former Burnley midfielder Joey Barton is currently serving a ban until June after he placed 1,260 bets on matches and competitions over a period of ten years.
Although Ibrahimovic is not believed to have placed any bets, and there is no suggestion that he has, the FA are still looking for clarification on his involvement as an ambassador for BetHard.
