Manchester United transfer target Fred hints at Old Trafford move after replying to friend’s tweet

MANCHESTER UNITED transfer target Fred has hinted a move to Old Trafford could be on the cards after his latest activity on Twitter.

The Brazil star, 25, a shock inclusion in his nation’s World Cup squad, has thrown fuel on the fire with United fans convinced he’s signing.

Fred last night responded to a friend’s tweet congratulating him on his impending move after a Manchester Evening News article claimed a deal was close.

The pal quote-tweeted a story, saying: “Congratulations, deserved.”

Fred responded with “Thank you Nany”, followed by a heart emoji.

The account called “Fred08oficial” is not verified on Twitter, but the MEN claim after an investigation they can reveal it his the Brazilian’s official page.

However, should the potential move go ahead, it is unlikely to happen prior to this summer’s World Cup in Russia.

Fred last week revealed he would only make his mind up regarding his future once he returned from international duty.
