Marcus Rashford joined the striker elite in an incredible £250million Nike photoshoot – but Wayne Rooney was left at home.
The young Manchester United star, who has broken through so impressively in the past year, might have taken a moment to pinch himself as to his surroundings among the leading striking lights.

He found himself alongside millions of pounds worth of talent in a Nike photoshoot, with Robert Lewandowski, Harry Kane, Gonzalo Higuain and Edinson Cavani – all wearing matching tracksuits.
One striker notable by his absence was Wayne Rooney, also a Nike athlete and a man just one goal away from breaking the Manchester United striking record.
Despite still being one of the world’s best, he is arguably fading as a world force – and Rashford, 12 years Rooney’s junior, has seemingly ta ken his place.

However, in the Q&A which took place in Munich, which also featured retired star Miroslav Klose, the leading scorer in World Cups, Rashford did pay homage to Rooney, saying he and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were the two best players he has played against.
Swede Ibrahimovic might have also been there were it not for the fact that he moved to rival kit and boot maker Adidas in the summer - the supplier of Manchester United.
In the Q&A, hosted by Sky Sports, the strikers took it in turns in pairs to answer questions, with PSG's Cavini and Juventus' Higuain both speaking in Spanish.
It was then the turn of Englishmen Kane and Rashford, before German-speaking Bayern Munich forward Lewandowski and Klose took the stage.
