HE may have made an impressive return to football, but Mario Gotze was put firmly in the shadows by his stunning girlfriend Ann-Kathrin Brommel on holiday.
The pair were pictured chilling on a yacht before diving into the cool waters off the coast of Majorca.
Gotze’s missus, a former lingerie model, looked scintillating in a skimpy red bikini on their European break.
The pair were seen looking very much in love as they hugged and played around in the water.
Gotze even snapped a cheeky pic of Brommel from behind as she showcased her amazing figure at the front of the boat.
The pair have been together since 2012 when Gotze first broke onto the scene in Germany and was talked up as the “next big thing”.
Of late she has been there to support him as he battled back from discovering he has a metabolic disorder that affected his livelihood.
But after moving back to Borussia Dortmund from Bayern Munich, the 25-year-old is seemingly on his way back to his best, and has featured in both of Dortmund’s opening games of the season.

However, he was not selected for the Germany squad for their recent World Cup Qualifiers, which enabled him to take a luxury holiday with his stunning partner.
Gotze, who scored the winner for Germany in the 2014 World Cup final, was once considered the best young player in the country’s history when he burst onto the scene at Dortmund.
His performances led to him being named the best young player in Europe when he won the Golden Boy award in 2011.
He became the most-expensive German footballer of all-time — a record he held for a couple of months before Mesut Ozil joined Arsenal for £42million — when he sealed a £32m move to Bayern Munich in 2013.
But he struggled to establish himself in Pep Guardiola‘s team and made his return to Dortmund last summer.
Things didn’t improve as fitness problems saw him in-and-out of the team before he was struck down by the virus.
