MARIO MANDZUKIC can leave Juventus if he is unhappy admitted the club’s vice-president Pavel Nedved.
Mandzukic, 32, joined the Old Lady from Atletico Madrid in 2015 but the arrival of Gonzalo Higuain the following year saw the Croat drop down the pecking order.
He has often been deployed in an unconventional left-wing role by Massimiliano Allegri, with Higuain leading the line and supported by fellow Argentine Paulo Dybala through the middle.
And Nedved, who spent eight seasons at Juventus, only wants committed players in the squad.
He said: “Mandzukic? As a club, we want players to be happy. Players who are unhappy can leave, we’ve always said that.
“We will decide together, whoever stays at the club must be happy to be part of Juve.

“Juventus did an extraordinary job this season. We worked hard but now it’s time to focus on the challenges of the future. We want to win more trophies but we know it’s not going to be easy.”
There have been suggestions that Mandzukic is keen for a move to the Premier League and Manchester United has been a rumoured destination.
Chelsea in major boost to sign Robert Lewandowski after striker’s agent admits he wants to leave Bayern Munich in the summer
The 32-year-old has played in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg and Bayern Munich and in La Liga with Atletico Madrid but is yet to play in England.
But with Romelu Lukaku already there and Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale thought to be the first choice, it is unlikely the Croatia striker, who is heading to the World Cup, will be at Old Trafford next season.
