MARTIN KEOWN went off on a bizarre rant about old people dying while discussing the uncertain future of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

The former Gunners defender claims the French boss'”life is dependant on management” during Saturday’s pre-FA Cup final edition of Football Focus.

Arsenal take on Chelsea at 5.30pm, with many believing the Gunners will need to take home the trophy at Wembley if Wenger, 67, is to remain at the Emirates for the 2017-18 campaign.

Speaking ahead of kick-off Keown said: “I believe that for Arsene Wenger it [management] is his life.

“He doesn’t want to let go of Arsenal Football Club.

“He said retirement is for old people… and old people die.
