MATHIEU VALBUENA claims he is ready to put the sex tape controversy behind him and line up alongside Karim Benzema again.
The two Frenchman became embroiled in legal proceedings regarding allegations of blackmail in relation to the tape that featured the Lyon star, which is alleged to have fallen into the hands of the Real Madrid forward’s entourage.

Both men were left out of the national squad for Euro 2016 due to the row.
However, Valbuena has stated that he is ready to move on from the fall out and that he would have no problems being in the same France squad with Benzema.
Valbuena told Radio Monte Carlo: “Of course I would be ready [to play with Benzema].

Benzema will discover on December 16 whether or not he will be charged with “complicity in a blackmail attempt” by the Court of Appeal of Versailles.
The striker’s lawyer has filed an appeal in regards to the process in which the police investigating the incident acquired their information.
Benzema has been accused of assisting childhood friend Karim Zenati and two others in an attempt to force Valbuena into paying a sum of around £100,000 to prevent the sex tape being released.
