MICHAEL OWEN has made a cruel jibe at football legend Ronaldo’s weight – and was promptly slammed by Twitter users.
The former England striker, known for his social media gaffes, posted a picture of the pair standing next to each other, alongside Luis Figo.

His caption read: “I thought I was putting the pounds on until I saw my old mate Ronnie!”
Owen, Figo and ex-Brazil striker Ronaldo, so prolific in his time, were at the Bernabeu today as former Ballon d’Or winners themselves – and Real Madrid players – to honour Los Blancos star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo and Owen were there to congratulate Ronaldo - prompting the former Liverpool and Newcastle striker's rude remark.
