PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN failed to open up a gap at the top of the Ligue 1 table as they suffered their first defeat (3-1) of the season at Monaco.
Joao Moutinho put the Monegasques in the lead and Fabinho doubled before half-time, while Edinson Cavani headed his first goal of the season and Serge Aurier killed with an own goal.
The French champions already had the chance to open up a small gap ahead of expected title rivals Lyon and Monaco.
And tonight was the early occasion to do so this season, as Lyon surprised this weekend with a 4-2 defeat at newly promoted Dijon.
