NAPOLI president Aurelio Di Laurentiis has slammed those who claim Gonzalo Higuain is NOT a traitor.
Many, including Roma legend, Francesco Totti, have lined up to condemn the show of disloyalty.
And De Laurentiis admits he feels the only way to describe Higuain’s actions is as a betrayal.
He explained he feared the 28-year-old would leave following recent comments by his brother and agent over the whopping £90million buy-out clause.
However, he never expected him to join fierce rivals, Juventus.

Speaking to Italian daily, Corriere dello Sport, De Laurentiis said: “Half an hour after we were informed by Juventus of their desire to respect the clause, we started to think about the future.
“We had understood, right from the first comments of Higuain’s brother, that we were running the risk of having to find a new centre-forward — and, due to this, we started to reflect.
“Be never seriously thought he would leave. Nor that he would have erased in a flash the memories of his three years in Naples.
“There are those who say that talk of betrayal is an exaggeration, but I think the opposite.
“Because, in this decision, there is the full sense of betrayal, which also includes ingratitude.”
Ajax striker, Arkadiusz Milik, is expected to come in as Higuain’s replacement at Napoli.
