New Sunderland boss David Moyes watches Black Cats snatch a late winner in pre-season clash

NEW Sunderland boss David Moyes wasted no time in getting down to business after being spotted in the stands to watch his side win at Rotherham.

The former Manchester United boss was appointed on a four-year deal just hours after Sam Allardyce left for the England job.

And Moyes was all smiles as he was warmly greeted by the travelling faithful taking his seat in the directors box.

A late Sunderland goal by Charles N’Zogbia meant the visitors came away with a 2-1 victory against the Championship opposition with the opening strike coming from forward Fabio Borini.

The Scot will be relishing being back in the Premier League having been out of work since November after an unsuccessful stint at Real Sociedad.

Moyes will get the opportunity to take a closer look at his squad when he flies with them to France on Sunday ahead of a game against FC Stade Nyonnais on Monday.
