New York Mets’ Yoenis Cespedes smashes sensational record 466-foot home run against Chicago Cubs

YOENIS CESPEDES’ 19th home run of the Major League Baseball season will certainly take some beating at his club’s stadium.

The New York Mets ace slammed the longest one of his career – a massive 466-feet – against the Chicago Cubs.

The gigantic hit flew off his bat an incredible 112mph, according to ESPN.

And the ball from center fielder's spectacular homer off Cubs pitcher John Lackey ended somewhere no other batter had managed ever to reach.

When the ball finally landed, it did so in the THIRD tier of the stands at the Mets' Citi Field.

Cespedes is the first player to hit a ball into the third tier during an actual game, although several players have managed the stunning feat during batting practice.

When asked if it was the hardest ball he had ever hit at the venue, Cespedes, who has smashed 36 home-runs during his career at the Mets, modestly replied, “Sí.”

His stunning hit, which is also the longest home run by a Mets player this season, inspired his side to come from 3-0 down to win 4-3.

Miami's Giancarlo Stanton has his hit the longest homer this season - 475 feet!

That was then changed to a whopping 490 feet by Hit Tracker.
