NFL Wild Card Weekend playoff schedule: Green Bay Packers face New York Giants in pick of the first round contests

THE NFL play-offs kick off this weekend with the battle to reach Super Bowl 51 down to just 12 teams remaining.

Wild Card Weekend will begin on Saturday night in Houston, the venue for this year’s showpiece on February 5.

The Oakland Raiders will travel to the Houston Texans in the first game of the weekend, before the Seattle Seahawks host the Detroit Lions later that night.

Sunday will see another double header of play-off action, with the Miami Dolphins’ trip to face the Pittsburgh Steelers kicking off around 6pm UK time.

The weekend ends with arguably the biggest game of the round, when two in form teams clash at a freezing Lambeau Field as the Green Bay Packers host the New York Giants.

The top two seeds in each conference – New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs in AFC and Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons in NFC – all have a first-round bye and await the winners in the divisional round the following week.
