NIGEL CLOUGH will cast emotion aside today as Burton make their Championship bow at Nottingham Forest.
The Brewers boss has a fairytale start at the place where father Brian is a managerial legend.
Back-to-back promotions have sent Burton into the second tier for the first time ever.
And Clough said: “It’s always special to go back to the City Ground having spent so many years there.
“It will always hold a special place with us.
“But we’ll try to put the emotion to one side and try to do a professional job and get a result.”
Clough admitted he is unsure what to expect from Forest, now bossed by the relatively unknown Philippe Montanier.

Apostolos Velios, Thomas Lam, Stephen Henderson, Damien Perquis, Armand Traore and Pajtim Kasami have all joined this summer.
Clough said: “We know they’ve got a very good squad on paper carried over from last season.
“It could be an advantage in that they might not be settled yet.
“I’d say they’re a bit of an unknown quantity.”
Frenchman Montanier must still win over some fans but insisted his side are in good shape.
He said: “All the players and myself and my staff are excited.
“We are ready, yes. I have learned a lot.”
