IT’S hard to tell whether US Olympic gymnast Simone Biles was more elated to have won a haul of gold medals or to get a kiss from her childhood crush, Zac Efron.
Following her epic quadruple win in Rio, the 19-year-old was over the moon when the actor surprised her and her teammates on Wednesday during an interview with Today.
But perhaps Zak should have considered whether Simone had a fella before planting a smacker on her cheek?
Her ‘Brazilian boyfriend’, fellow Olympic gymnast Arthur Mariano, addressed the High School Musical star in an Instagram post on Wednesday, warning him off.
He posted a cute snap of him kissing Simone on the cheek, writing: “Hey @zacefron I saw her first… She is my girl.”
The caption was clearly meant in jest, as NBC claim Arthur isn’t actually Simone’s boyfriend, but his affection for the gymnast is clear.
He continued: “Proud of you Simone! You are phenomal in whole world and special. You made history. Love u (sic).”
Arthur previously posted an adorable photo of him and Simone both kissing their medals, which he captioned: “Congrats BABE! You are doing an amazing job here at the Olympics. The crowd and all Brazilians (including me) love YOU!”
Simone has also tweeted that Arthur is her “Brazilian boyfriend”, suggesting the feeling is mutual.
