MANCHESTER UNITED and Real Madrid are braced for disappointment in their pursuit of Paulo Dybala.
United’s rivals City appeared to enter the race in recent days with reports claiming that Juventus told the player’s agent they would accept on offer following a meeting.
But those claims appear wide of the mark with Juve director Giuseppe Marotta insisting Dybala is close to penning a new contract.

Marotta told Mediaset: “Dybala’s entourage is in Argentina right now.
“There is no reason to worry.
“They will arrive at the end of the month and that is the moment we will sign the contract.”

But it is European champions Real who have been most consistently linked with the striker.
SunSport reported earlier this year that Los Blancos offered £77million plus Alvaro Morata – before Juve countered by demanding Toni Kroos or Luka Modric on top.
And Jose Mourinho is thought to be an admirer as the United boss considers long-term replacements for 35-year-old hitman Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
