PES 2017: Sun Sport reveals how to download official kits, names and badges for the new instalment of the popular football video game


PES 2017 has now been released and the old issues of not having licenses to include team names, logos and official kits can be solved. 

There is an option file for players to download that allows them to get all the new kits, team names and badges so they wont have to worry about not playing an unrealistic game.

Konami the makers of PES have made it a whole lot easier for its players to get hold of all this stuff by introducing something called ‘Option File Sharing’.

The system allows you to download the file and install it in to your own game and grab all of the official gear taking PES to a whole new level.

However this option is only available for PS4 and PC users but all players on these consoles need is a USB stick.

How to download the options file for team names and kits

  • On your USB stick create a PES-related folder to store the option file. The file needs to be called WEPES for your console or PC to recognise the folder.
  • Head on to your PC and download the option files from one of the myriad PES dedicated sites click and drag the files on to your USB stick and in to the PES folder.
  •  Boot up PES 2017 and head in to extras -edit, scroll down to data management-import/export.
  • After selecting ”Import Team” a text box will appear stating ”you can import images saved on to USB flash memory”.
  • Select all of the files in the list and hit next leave ”select team import data” and apply player and squad data” un-ticked and hit next, the game will then begin to automatically import them in to the game.
  • After the processing has finished, save the game.
  • Importing badges needs to be done manually go back in to import/export and click import image select ”competition emblems to import images in the correct image size, tick ”imported selected images and choose which emblem goes where.

Hopefully with this information all PES 2017 players can look the part as well as play it!
