PETERBOROUGH are demanding an eye-watering £6.5million for star striker Jack Marriott.
He scored 33 times for the League One club last season and is one of the hottest properties outside the Premier League.
Marriott, who started his career at Ipswich, is wanted by Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday and Aston Villa.
The 23-year-old joined from Luton in a deal worth up to £500,000 only 12 months ago and looks certain to leave after a stunning season at London Road.
But Posh expect to get £6.5m – at the very least – from clubs keen to boost their firepower.
Fellow Peterborough striker Marcus Maddison is also a target of Reading and could leave London Road.
