The rights have been sold in a three-year deal from the 2019-2020 season to Chinese online video streaming service PPTV.

China’s current Premier League coverage deal is only worth around £16m million a year.

PPTV is part of the Suning group which owns Italian club Inter Milan and currently has the rights to broadcast games from Spain’s La Liga in China.

The Premier League has just started a new TV rights cycle, generating around £8.3billion pounds from broadcasters globally through 2019.

Premier League's 5 Biggest TV overseals deals

1) China (Suning) - £560m over three years
2) USA (NBC) - £800m over six years
3) Hong Kong (LeTV) - £320m over three years
4) Middle East/North Africa (BeIN Sports) - £320m over three years
5) France (Altice) - £265m over three years

Previously, the biggest deal was with US TV powerhouse NBC last year which was worth £800m over six years to show every Premier League game - not as much as the new Chinese sale.
Any foreign deal to date is still some way short of the mega £5.14bn over three seasons which British broadcasters Sky and BT pay over three years - working out at more than £10m per game.

The total amount raised once international rights are taken into account has topped £8.5bn over three years from 2016-17.
