Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 release date confirmed as Barcelona cover stars Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez revealed

THE RELEASE date for Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 has been confirmed hours after it was accidentally leaked onto the internet.

Konami officially announced details of their upcoming instalment of the popular annual football franchise earlier today.

Andreas Iniesta along with a host of Barcelona stars are on the front cover of Pro Evo 2018

A few hours earlier, a product page on  revaled a release date of September 14, with a host of new features and additions.

The release date for Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 is all set for September this year

Among the new features are “strategic dribbling”, and set pieces “take the unrivalled gameplay to the next level”.

A highly-asked for addition is also an overhaul of the menu system which Konami looked to have listened to.

We’ll also be getting new player models, lighting, and animations for facial expressions and body flexibility.

A new co-op mode is also included while the way transfers are handled is also thought to be getting an improvement.

The cover stars are Barcelona players, including Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar, Gerard Pique and Andreas Iniesta.

If you pre-order the game, you'll also get bonuses from the title's MyClub mode, which is sure to excite fans of the series.

The release and cover stars leak was made on the Xbox One page this week

Pro Evo is usually released in September time and is launched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Meanwhile, EA Sport's FIFA 18 is returning this year, with details of the game set to be announced at E3 in early June.
