According to Sport Mediaset, Old Lady chiefs Andrea Agnelli, Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici met together to discuss selling either Higuain or Paulo Dybala.

Dybala is six years younger than his Argentinian compatriot, and has outscored the 30-year-old this season.

The report also stated that Juve do not believe anyone will pay the asking price of £123million for his services, with the club willing to sacrifice Higuain.

While they also claim the Italian giants would be prepared to flog the ex-Real Madrid striker for just £44m, almost half of the £80m sum they paid Napoli to bring him to Turin two years ago.

Higuain has thrived in Serie A since leaving Los Blancos in 2013, where he has banged in over 110 top-flight goals.

He has found the back of the net on 23 occasions under Max Allegri this season, as well as providing eight assists for his team-mates.

Sport Mediaset also report that Juventus would then look at bringing Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata back to the club.

The 25-year-old Spanish international enjoyed two successful years with Juve between 2014-2016, winning two Serie A titles as well back-to-back Coppa Italia’s.
