TWO referees have been SACKED just one day before the new season kicks off following allegations of misconduct.
Whistlers Darren Deadman and David Coote have both been shown the red card after being investigated by the Professional Game and Match Officials Ltd (PGMOL), who are in charge of picking refs.
Deadman worked in Football League, FA Cup and FL Trophy matches last term.
But the PGMOL have wiped him off the National List.
According to The Mirror, he will NOT work for the PGMOL again.
Championship whistler Coote, who also took charge of FA Cup and play-off matches, is being investigated for separate allegations to Deadman.
Coote is currently on the Select Group 2 list – a step just below refereeing Premier League games.
He has not been allocated a match for this weekend and is reported to be injured.
