ROB ‘GRONK’GRONKOWSKI got it both barrels on Sunday when he was beaten in the Super Bowl and then had his gun collection stolen, according to reports in the US.
The New England Patriots star got home from defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles to discover he had been raided – US newspaper the Boston Globe has claimed firearms were missing.
Foxborough police chief William Baker would not confirm weapons were missing but admitted the defeat and the burglary must have hit Gronk hard.
He said: “There were items stolen. We’re not going to release the nature of the items stolen. Obviously the people who committed the theft know what was stolen.
“It’s an investigative advantage for us to know that as well and not share it with the public, so I won’t have any further comment on that.
“It’s a tough combination to have suffered this unfortunate loss, and then to get home and be a victim of this kind of crime which really has a profound effect on everybody who is a victim of this crime when your personal space is breached like that.”
The tight end – widely regarded as one of the best players of his generation – took the 41-33 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles hard – even before getting robbed.
The 28-year-old revealed after the match that is considering retirement already.

Gronk said: “I’m definitely going to look at my future, for sure.
“I’m going to sit down the next couple of weeks and see where I’m at. I’m just going to sit down, reflect on the season, talk to my team-mates.
“We fought all year long. All the receivers, running backs, linemen, I mean we put all the work in together.
“I’m just going to reflect on the season, probably with the boys, and see what happens from there.”
