JUAN MARTIN DEL POTRO has beaten all the odds to overcome Dominic Thiem and set up a US Open quarter-final against Roger Federer.
The Argentine admitted he was preparing to retire when two sets down against Thiem, but the support of the crowd spurred him to an incredible five-set victory.

Matches on the court are split into two time slots – 12pm (5pm UK time) and 7pm (12am UK time).
Madison Keys vs Kaia Kanepi is the first game on the 7pm slot and Federer vs Del Potro will begin after its conclusion.
It is estimated that the two former men’s champs will get onto court about 1.15am UK time.
