Romelu Lukaku did not celebrate derby win over City because he was being sick in toilet

ROMELU LUKAKU has revealed he didn’t celebrate Manchester United’s dramatic 3-2 win over neighbours City because he was throwing up.

United’s victory denied City the chance to bag the Premier League trophy.

Lukaku, 24, didn’t have the best of games.

But United, on the back of a resurgent Paul Pogba performance, still incredibly managed to find the net three times in the space of 15 second half minutes.

That was enough to postpone City’s Championship party.

But Lukaua has explained he missed United’s celebrations in the away dressing room at the Etihad because he was being sick in the toilet.

Lukaku has recovered, though, and is ready to give bottom club West Bromwich, where he was previously on loan, a going over on Sunday.

This is a game that could see West Brom’s relegation confirmed depending on other results.

Jose Mourinho, meanwhile, has ruled out bringing in competition for Lukaku this summer as he defended his selection policy.

The Belgian forward has started 31 of United’s 32 Premier League games this season, scoring 15 times and adding seven assists, missing only the trip to his former club Everton.

That has led to limited opportunities for Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, particularly up front, and Mourinho is reluctant to give himself a bigger selection headache by adding another forward.

“So probably I would have to reduce and send some away.”
