But they pay a premium when United are playing at home.

Fans wanting to stay in a king room this Friday night before the derby match against Manchester City will shell-out a whopping £310 for double occupancy without breakfast.

A king room for Friday, 16 Sept when United are playing Watford away the following day is just £139.

The price for same kind of room for Friday, 28 October before the Red Devils host Burnley is £232.

But when Liverpool roll into Manchester in January the price to stay the night before the match jumps up to £316.

Last night a businessman from Bradford, West Yorks, who forks out close to £5,000-a-year for two season tickets told The Sun how he had discovered the price differences.

He said: “I was working out some packages for a client to stay over at various matched and was shocked by the difference in price.
