JORDAN SPIETH was at the centre of a Ryder Cup mystery amid claims he injured his hand celebrating too hard with teammate Patrick Reed.
Spieth teed off against Henrik Stenson in the final day singles match with the USA team trying hard to play down the severity of the problem.
But the former world number one appeared to be struggling with some kind of problem with his hand towards the end of his fourballs victory with Reed over Stenson and Justin Rose.
And claims in the American media suggested the injury was actually suffered when star player Reed slapped him too hard as they high-fived winning a hole.

Spieth kept a low profile on the practice range before the singles matches began, instead spending longer on the putting green.
But Stenson missed the chance to put pressure on his opponent on the first hole, dragging his tee-shot so far left it nestled behind the portable toilets for spectators.
And Spieth punished the Swede as he chipped in from off the green to take an immediate one-hole lead.
